The Three magazines I will analyse
I will analyse three magazines to help me with mine and give them an LIIIAR analsis. This will also show the similiarties and differences in the magazines. The three magazines I will analyse are Q, NME and Clash. Three magazines are all very similar to the type of genre I am doing so I will anylyse all three to help me with mine. I will analyse the Front cover, the contents page and the double page spread.

Key points of my magazine
1) Whats your magazine genre?
- My magazine genre will be Alternative/indie/rock as at the moment its a very popular genre of music at the present time.
2)What are the key features of this genre (look at images wesites and CDs )?
- This genre has many key feautures the most popular are: Individuality, vintage clothing and attitudes, festivals, piercings, tatoos, guitars, art, long hair, quiffs, male and female, hippyness, skinny jeans, piano, British and American, drums, doc martins, inspiration from the past.
3)What magazine covers this genre now ?
- The main magazine that covers this gnere of music is NME. Also their is Q and Mojo who are also very popular.
4)What features they have and do they tie in with the target audience?
- My magazine will include the majority of most alternative magazines so that they do interest the target audience, I will use neautral colours and all key factors of an alternative magazine. I also will use models that suit the magazine and I will also keep them young as most of the artist int he genre are young so it will appeal to the target audience.
5)What additional features can you put in your magazine to make it stand out and apeal to the target audience that is not already been marketed too?
- I will use quirky settings for the models to be photographed in so is eye cathing and be more appealing and different like the magazine promotes.
